Air Force airmen with the 17th Special Operations Squadron help load an aircraft pallet of Meals Ready to Eat at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 29, 2004. The cargo is bound for Southeast Asia as part of U.S. disaster relief efforts following the massive earthquake and tsunami that struck Dec. 26 off the coast of Indonesia and throughout the Indian Ocean region. More than 3,000 cases of MREs and four aircraft pallets of fresh water were processed through Kadena's cargo area as the 18th Wing provided supplies and personnel to assist the humanitarian relief effort.
