NEWS

Bob Woodward's new book, Plan of Attack, came out on April 20 in most bookstores, and some Penn State students say that the book will have an effect on the presidential election, but two Penn State political science professors disagree.

Two separate fraternities entered guilty pleas Monday at Centre County Courthouse in Bellefonte on charges stemming from allegations that they provided alcohol to minors.

Numerous police departments, coordinated through the Centre County Drug Task Force, charged eight people yesterday with various offenses connected to the sale of marijuana.

The University Faculty Senate approved legislation requiring all students, beginning with those entering in fall 2005, to take six credits of diversity requirements.

Students are hovering over their textbooks and poring over old notes in the HUB-Robeson Center, but these familiar sights are a bit premature this week since finals do not officially begin until Monday.

Though 2004 is a presidential primary year, local voter turnout at the HUB-Robeson Center failed to meet the expectations of some election officials.

The State College Police Department and the Off-Campus Student Union (OSCU) will host a town hall forum at 7:30 tonight in the HUB Auditorium to answer questions about the Source Investigation Project (SIP).

One afternoon in April 2001, a sea of students, faculty and staff flooded Old Main lawn for a planned rally and march titled "No Hate at Penn State."

The Undergraduate Student Government (USG) Senate approved all nine of USG President Galen Foulke's executive cabinet nominations that came before the body at the meeting last night.

The Pennsylvania State Police have received reports of a scam in which a person who claims to be a representative of the Internal Revenue Service is contacting individuals.

SPORTS

There has been little to cheer about lately for the Penn State softball team. The Nittany Lions (20-29, 5-9 Big Ten) have been playing streaky ball all season. Unfortunately for them, however, the winless droughts always seem to outlast any set of consecutive victories.

Other than the four bolt-like scars on each of Mike Stoltz's upper thighs, you wouldn't know his right hip was rebuilt or that his left hip is bound to need a hip replacement in a number of years.

Just like everyone else living on campus this semester, the Penn State women's track team must vamoose from the dorms by 4 p.m. Saturday, May 8th. Unlike the rest, the Nittany Lions can move back after 6 p.m. on the same day.

NCAA men's volleyball is a sport much like the NBA today. The West is dominant over the East.

ARTS

Students will share A Night of Dance with family, friends and peers at 7 tonight in the Playhouse Theatre. The students will showcase their work and prove that dance is alive and well at Penn State.

The end is near, but not for Roustabout!
