"Oil and Water," the third release from quintet Incubus' fifth LP and Billboard 200 No. 1 "Light Grenades," is a sure sign of the band's ever-evolving maturity, a polished, razor-sharp track that displays a blend of progressive and streamlined rock. The mix of heavily delayed soundscapes, epic peaks and Brandon Boyd's unwavering melodic range is a true testament to the solidity of this record.
