What are access keys?

Access keys define keyboard shortcuts for following links, so that users who have difficulty using a mouse, or who prefer not to use a mouse, can quickly reach the main pages of a web site.

How do I use access keys?

  1. Press and hold the Alt key (Ctrl key for Macintosh users)
  2. Press the access key
  3. Press Return

Users of Netscape 7 or Mozilla may not need to press Return.

Opera users

  1. Press and hold the Shift key
  2. Press the Esc key
  3. Release the keys
  4. Press the access key
