Accessing OED Online

OED Online Subscribers

Subscribers, and users at subscribing institutions, can access OED Online either via the home page or with this link.

Athens users

Members of participating institutions in the UK and Republic of Ireland with a subscription to OED Online can use the Athens service on and off campus with their personal Athens username and password. Please go to the OED home page and click the "Athens sign in" link in the panel headed "OED Online subscribers". Alternatively, use your MyAthens link. OED Online is an Athens single sign-on (SSO) resource.

Libraries and other subscribing institutions can offer readers a convenient short-cut by adding this search box to their own web page - just copy the code below.
