What We Don't Fund
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation awards grants for projects that advance our mission to improve the health and health care of all Americans. While we may have funded some program areas in the past, they may no longer reflect our current focus. See What We Fund.
1. Ineligible Organizations
We generally do not award grants to for-profit companies.
2. Places or Locations We Do Not Support

4. Projects or Activities We Do Not Support

- Endowment or capital costs
- Basic biomedical research
- Research on drug therapies or devices
- International programs
- Direct support of individuals

Note: We do not fund unsolicited proposals throughout the year in the following Program Areas:
Rather, we support programs in these areas by issuing calls for proposals throughout the year.
