Survey & Data Sets

RWJF shares the original data collected for many projects.

When it comes to major data sets that result from RWJF-sponsored research, we are committed to making the data available to other researchers and analysts in the field. Since 1982, the Foundation has required selected grantees to produce public-use data files and documentation. These are archived at the University of Michigan's Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research, the world's largest archive of computerized social science data and official repository for the Foundation's statistical data.

For more information on using these data sets and a complete list of RWJF-sponsored data collections, visit ICPSR's Health and Medical Care Archive. ICPSR's data resources are available without charge to individuals and institutional ICPSR members, and for a fee for individuals and institutions not affiliated with ICPSR.

Why our commitment to making this data available? RWJF-supported research and evaluations often yield rich databases that can be used to answer a variety of important questions, many of which might not have been anticipated at the time the data were collected.
