The new Hollywood Reporter Web site

Chances are, you've noticed the big upgrade of The Hollywood Reporter's web site. We're calling this redesign Version 6.0, but to be honest, in all the excitement over the past decade, we kind of lost track. Maybe it's 7.0 after all.

Some of you have been coming to the site since v1.0. Back then, in 1995, The Reporter was the first entertainment trade on the web. We were musket-carrying pioneers on our stretch of the "Information Superhighway."

The last bumper-to-bumper redesign went public in early summer 2003. Work on v6 started in late 2005 and continued throughout 2006.

All along, the site has remained "in development," with new features, products and services going up almost every month. In the past year, for example, we've added a trio of outstanding blogs -- Risky Business, Past Deadline and Reel Pop -- and the popular business podcast Money & Media.

Interaction and community remain top priorities for hollywoodreporter.com. Video and audio have unlimited potential. Look for exciting initiatives in these areas as we rev up this shiny new v6 for 2007.
