Cinram to buy Vision Worldwide
Oct 2, 2007
Toronto-based Cinram said it will acquire all the assets of Vision Worldwide, whose software helps home entertainment vendors track which product is selling well and where along the supply chain, and which needs restocking.
The deal is the latest as Cinram diversifies away from its core business of supplying the entertainment industry with raw compact discs and DVDs for its content with physical use expected to decline in the digital age.
"By leveraging the systems and applications that Vision has developed over the past decade, we will be able to deepen our customer relationships and widen the breadth of our supply-chain offering to garner new business in the telecommunications, video games and home entertainment industries," Cinram CEO David Rubenstein said.
Privately held Vision Worldwide has offices in Europe and Australia.
