Professor Jonathan Moyo an arrogant dellusional politician

So we must believe that Prof Moyo is a political genius who has seen a positive from the opposition MDC support of CA No 18 that we all have failed to see? Well that is not true.

The MDC has already explained that it remains committed to the principle of a Comprehensive New Constitution for the country and not the unending patching up of the Lancaster House one.

They have further explained that they accepted the amended version of CA No 18 as a political confidence building measure leading to the ultimate objective and are now fully engaged in negotiations on issues they stated in their objectives for the harmonised election in 2008 to be credible enough for their participation.

Are we supposed to believe that only Prof Jonathan Moyo saw the opportunity in a credible early general election when we are aware that the opposition MDC and not Professor Moyo campaigned vigorously against Mugabe’s original intentions to prolong his tenure of office by postponing the 2008 Presidential elections to 2010 which resulted in him deciding to face the wrath of the electorate together with his entire party in 2008 and hence the early general election?

No Prof Moyo the MDC had seen the opportunity you now want to take credit for a year ago. How can a position they campaigned for a year ago and achieved suddenly become a “ hopeless leap in the dark” because Moyo has different words to explain what the MDC has purposefully achieved? I am waiting to see the egg on Moyo’s face when at the end of the month it is announced that Zanu PF has agreed to the New Constitution as is widely being speculated other than by Moyo himself.

So the MDC was telling the truth all along that Zanu PF lost the 2000 elections? “Any ruling party that agrees to opposition demands for a new constitution ahead of a general election exposes itself to assured electoral defeat.

Zanu PF learnt this after the failed referendum on the draft constitution in 2000.” Now tell us Professor what motivated your acceptance of Ministerial appointment in the illegitimate un-elected Zanu PF government of 2000.

It is time you also admit that because you knew you were an illegitimate government you in person masterminded the crafting of the electoral laws you now want MDC to cause to be amended through the Sadc mediation talks.

Would it not be easier for them to ring concessions on these illegally legislated statutes if you can reveal evidence to Sadc and the World that the people who made the laws were not a legitimate government and thus the laws are null and void abi initio. You are too lily livered to do that aren’t you? 

The good news that the 2008 harmonised elections present a real chance for Zimbabweans YOU IN PARTICULAR and Mugabe and his henchmen battered from your 2000 junta has been delivered by the MDC and not you and your pipedream Third Way mantra. You were and are still more “incurably clueless in the face of crippling problems facing the country,” than Mugabe’s entire henchman put together.

Yes Professor “The powerful message from angry masses and the dispossessed middle and upper classes is that if the early 2008 general election should be rigged, it should be against Mugabe whose continued stay in office has become irretrievably catastrophic for Zimbabwe.”

In addition to that and with equal if not enhanced desire the same people do not want you and your cahoots of the Third Way elitist political school of thought to be anywhere near the corridors of power in Zimbabwe and they are thankful that Mugabe did them a great service by booting you out of the gravy train and served them the trouble of having to do so.

Only the disgruntled Zanu PF rejects like you are opposed to Mugabe’s re-election bid within Zanu PF because he is a major obstacle to their power bids through the same corrupt party. Indeed Mugabe is and has always been a liability to Zanu PF since 2000 but certainly not to the extent you were and are to Zanu PF and Zimbabwe in particular let alone the Zimbabweans you battered during you short stint at Zanu PF Headquarters and in Government.  While Mugabe’s Zanu PF support is diminishing you and your Third Way elitists have no support to talk about whatsoever.

Zanu PF does not have a defacto two-thirds majority in the Parliament to be dissolved by the MDC led political brinkmanship epitomised by their support of CA No 18. Rather it is the office of President of Zimbabwe that had the highest number of Parliamentarians than any other constituency which numbers Mugabe was using to prop up the Zanu PF Parliamentary Majority to a dejure two-thirds majority. Remove Presidential appointments from the House of Assembly as MDC has astonishingly, for you, managed through acceptance of CA No 18 and Zanu PF remains with no more than a 53% majority in that House.

While Mugabe is desperately short of support it is not against Professor Moyo or his Third Way grotesque political initiative but rather the MDC. Mugabe may be having sleepless nights now but Professor Moyo and his meagre cahoots are not in any way a contributor to the causes and he cannot fool me on that one as he is attempting to do in his article.

Has it ever occurred to the so called political genius Professor Moyo that a defeat for Mugabe in the 2008 Presidential election by the MDC would have the effect of causing the redundancy of Mugabe’s Presidential appointees in the House of assembly and their automatic replacement with MDC Presidential incumbent appointees thus shifting the dejure two thirds Parliamentary majority in favour of MDC and thus rendering his “wiser” impeachment strategy sterile. So much for the wisdom of the academically astute political brains’ ability to realise the interplay of reality and fantasy politics who are blinkered by political hatred and ignore simple political realities and possibilities at the peril of those who live by their advice.

Since Zanu PF does not have a defacto two thirds Parliamentary majority the 2008 dissolution off Parliament will not be a milestone in the history of political democracy as Professor Moyo would like us to believe.

Since the few “securocrats and bureaucrats behind Mugabe’s doomed re-election campaign” are peddling lies that the Zanu PF Special congress in December will have only one agenda as the Professor puts it “to confirm and endorse Mugabe as the ruling party’s presidential candidate in the general election next March,” which he strenuously denies with his mini lecture on the Zanu PF Constitutional provisions can he tell us what other issues will be tabled at the Zanu PF special congress rather than lecture us on what else can be done at a Zanu PF Special Congress.

“So if there is one sure thing that Zimbabwe does not need today, it is Mugabe’s presidency. Enough is enough.

Thanks to the adoption of the 18th constitutional amendment, Zimbabweans have a wonderful early opportunity to show Mugabe the exit door at the polls through a united, patriotic people’s front of nationalist progressives from across the political divide as the only real solution to the Zimbabwean crisis.”

Well-concluded moronic Professor. May I remind you that such forces exclude elitists of the Third Way school of political thought who are working day and night against the established MDC front to achieve that exactly and these will be washed away by the torrent of anger that is reserved for Zanu PF and those that want to use diversionist politics to gatecrash into the opposition forefront of Mugabe’s tyrannical and illegitimate rule including yourself in particular.
