, in hiragana, or in katakana, is one of the Japanese kana, which each represent one mora. (IPA: /ku/), is one of the Japanese kana, which each represent one mora. Both represent (IPA) /kɯ/ and their shapes come from the kanji 久.

This character, like the rest of the second row, may have a dakuten added. This transforms the symbol into ぐ in hiragana, グ in katakana, and gu in Romaji. The dakuten's addition also changes the sound of the syllable represented, to /gɯ/.
