The pictures are easy to make… captionizing them is hard.

What are the file requirements for lolcatz? I also had a jpeg file to submit that ICHC wouldnt accept… Can I just use MSPaint to add captions?

If it doesn’t allow it… host the file on http://www.tinypic.com, or http://allyoucanupload.webshots.com/ and add the URL :).

@KellyK - if it was with lolcat buildr, sorry it didn’t work! It should accept all images (jpg/gif/png), as long as they’re under 5mb and not corrupt. If you can post a link to the image, I will investigate! (Also, what browser/OS are you using?)

I didnt use the LOLcate builder, I just added captions with MSPaint, resaved as jpeg, and tried to upload to ICHC. What does the lolcat builder do that Im not doing?

Gordon’s builder is awesome.. much better than my tutorial.

That was fun!!

I just use a photo editing program on my computer. It’s much faster and the results are usually much better quality.

very true, but many of our users don’t have photoshop … and so this lets almost anyone — with basic computer experience — to create a lolcat. much easier, too, for lol*’ing their aminals.

Hai! I am a big fan, as are my parents, and we giggle (though I utterly despise that word…) as we see the zany thangs peeps put up here.

When I try to preview my lovely lol*, it says “The state information is invalid for this page and might be corrupted.”

Am I doing something wrong? Is it a bug? Am I computar illiterate? The world may never know…

Hi - the preview button isn’t working for me; I click it and all I get for a preview image is an error box (red X). I know I picked the photo I wanted, and I tried it using both Explorer and Firefox, but it’s not working!

I’ve just put up an experimental wysiwyg lolcat editor at www.canhaslol.com . It’s output isn’t anywhere near as slick as Gordon’s and it’s pretty limited, but it’s pretty easy to use. Do check out, please!
