 In all the excitement completely forgot to post a "the demos been released" news post ... not that any of you didn't know already anyway 
Instead, heres a one stop news post of all the developments so far.
12 Oct: Windows Client/Server Demo Released

13 Oct: Windows 2003/XP 64Bit Fix Released
Fixes the "Modified Executable Code is not Allowed" and can be downloaded direct from Epic here

We have also been updating our wiki with any information we have on the demo. We do not have all the answers though so if you have anything to add please do and help your fellow admins out.

UT3 Beta in 2 Weeks, Maybe 1 ...

Just wanted to give you a heads' up that we're getting pretty close to releasing the Unreal Tournament 3 Beta Demo for Windows. The Beta Demo will allow instant action play against bots as well as online multiplayer. The purpose of the Beta Demo is to test the game on a large variety of hardware configurations and get gameplay feedback from the community. The development team feels they're pretty close to being ready to release this so it could come out this week but for safety sake I'd say it should be out within two weeks.
We have a few fan sites in tomorrow to play the full game and I'm sure they'll be sharing their comments pretty soon afterward.

UT2007 Renamed to Unreal Tournament 3

Midway has officially announced that the game formerly known as Unreal Tournament 2007 will now be released as Unreal Tournament 3 for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 platforms, and release is projected for the second half of 2007.

 Free Monkey Interactive has released MonkeyBuild 2.1 for UT2004 mod makers.
MonkeyBuild makes it quick and easy for mod developers to compile their UT2004 mods and test new code in offline and network games.

An update of the wonderful mod TO:Crossfire for UT2004 was released this week-end!!
The gameplay was really improved and it's now a fast action game like Tactical Ops is/was.

Carball Version 2.6 Released
|
|
|
We are pleased to announce the release of CarBall 2.6, an original UT2004 mod. CarBall is multiplayer soccer with cars, combining goal scoring with weapon pickups and vehicle power-ups. Imagine Mario Kart mixed with Fifa, multiplied by Wipeout XL.
CarBall is unique in changing the game's focus from killing other players to driving, teamwork and fun with physics. The addictive gameplay is simple to learn, but difficult to master. Players must combine scoring prowess with defensive awareness, while mixing in smart team play, use of weapons, and some fancy maneuvers.
The custom vehicles are capable of not only flipping, jumping and other acrobatics, but also of using various power-ups to score, escape or blow your competitors away. Chaos and unpredictability are common in CarBall games, even ones with skilled team work and communication from both sides. Far more than other games, CarBall will make you laugh as much as it will make you jeer and cheer.

Free Monkey Interactive has finally announced the long-awaited third public release of their conversion of the Unreal 2 multiplayer component XMP for UT2004. You can download the latest iteration of UTXMP directly from their website - www.free-monkey.com
For those unaware, the mod aims to extend the life of Unreal 2's multiplayer by bringing it to the wide fanbase of UT2004
