WORK IN THE FIELD OF ISLAM:
1. At Kerala Islamic Mission, Calicut
Worked first as the President of Kerala Islamic Mission (Calicut, India ), an institution devoted to the propagation of Islam among Non-Muslims in South India.
Led several delegations, in the capacity as the President of Kerala Islamic Mission, to hold dialogues with Bishops and other religious leaders of Christians as well as with Hindu scholars.
2. At Discover Islam, Baharain
In 1997, spent over six weeks at Discover Islam, Baharain. giving leadership to the South Indian daees there.
3. At Da'wa College, Calicut, India
Worked as a Lecturer at Da’wa College for over four years. Gave lectures on Comparative Religion as well as on critical issues facing Religion in general, and Islam in particular.
Books Written:
Author of three books on Islam in Malayalam.
They are:
(1) A book on Comparative Religion with emphasis on
Christianity and Islam.
The title is: "Yeshuvinte Patha Muhammadinteyum"--The
Path of Jesus and Muhammad
(2) A book on the status of women in the model society
visualized by Islam. The title is:
"Sthree Mathruka Samoohathil"-- Woman in the Model
Society
(3) A book on science and human values. The title is:
"Bhouthika Sasthrathil Atmeeyamoolyangalude Prasakthi"--
The Relevance of Spiritual Values in Materialistic
Sciences
Other Accomplishments:
1. Member of the Ideal Publications Trust, which runs the
Malayalam daily, Madhyamam.
2. Published poems and articles in journals and magazines.
3. Presented papers and gave talks on topics related to Islam in
conferences and seminars at various centres in India and
abroad.
4. Wrote booklets and pamphlets for Kerala Islamic Mission,
Calicut as well as translated many from English to Malayalam.
They include pamphlets by Ahamed Deedat and Dr Gary Miller,
among others.
5. Participated in the ICNA (Islamic Council of North America)
conference held at Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A, in August,
2000.
