further information

  • Cultural heritage

    South Moravia

Both the population of the Czech Republic and its visitors know South Moravia as a fertile landscape covered in vineyards, the country of living folk traditions, friendly people, beautiful countryside and historical sights. It can be seen in places such as Národním parku Podyjí (Podyjí National Park) and Macocha or whilst admiring the beautiful Lednicko-valtického areálu (Lednice-Valtice Park) listed by the UNESCO.

  • Cultural heritage

    North Moravia

North Moravia is an area of wonderful nature, mainly the mountainous destinations of Beskydy and Jeseniky, which contrast with the lowland plain areas in the central part of the region, along the waterways. This region is quite typical but with other contrasts: the largest territory of protected landscape areas on one side, and highest industrial concentration on the other side.  It has the second highest potential of the spa industry in CR.

  • Cultural heritage

    Central Moravia

Central Moravia is a beautiful region of fertile plains and hills, a region of famous periods of Great Moravia. The local towns, beautiful, and once proud and rich, charmed their visitors with their beauty and remind one of famous times which have drifted away. Local monasteries and hundreds of years old churches once hosted the Slavonic Apostles, Cyril and Methodius.  The local landscape is blessed with underground caves. It is a place one can easily fall in love with.
