Endeavor backs Central Partnership

Agency to represent Russian film, TV unit

First film in the Endeavor deal is sophomore helmer Anna Melikyan's Berlin player 'The Mermaid.'

Endeavor has pacted to represent Russia's leading distrib/indie film and TV production player, Central Partnership.

The talent agency wil rep CP and its stable of helmers in the U.S. and act as an international sales agent for CP product, which over the last year has included Russian blockbusters "Wolfhound" and "Shadow Boxing 2" as well as award-winning arthouse fare.

It will also help to set up co-production deals with U.S. majors.

First film in the deal is sophomore helmer Anna Melikyan's Berlin player "The Mermaid," produced and distribbed by CP, which took the best director award in Sundance's international section.

CP is majority owned by Russia's Prof-Media, whose interests include multiplex development, press and TV, including MTV Russia and toon channel 2X2.
