Augustana will look to move to the next level with its sophomore album, "Can't Love, Can't Hurt," due April 29 via Epic. The group broke through with 2006's "All the Stars and Boulevards," which featured the hit single "Boston."
The new set is led by the single "Sweet and Low," is streaming on MySpace and is the lead track on an iTunes-exclusive EP, available starting today (Feb. 26).
"We came in and did it in five weeks," producer Mike Flynn tells Billboard.com. "The guys played live and we tried to capture that as much as we could."
Beyond the single, Flynn says another key track is "Hey Now," which breaks into the chant "Hey now, right now," at its conclusion. "This is a timeless song about everything that's going on around us. It has a lot of impact," he says.
Augustana will introduce new material at a March 13 showcase at Stubbs BBQ during South by Southwest in Austin, Texas.
