Localization Efforts
KDE l10n server is the platform for KDE translators, doc writers, XML wizards, and everybody working on Internationalization, Localization, and documentation of KDE.
On the KDE l10n page you will find that there are resources for practical translation and documentation work, such as:
- The KDE Translation Howto where you can find out how to introduce a new language to KDE, how to translate the user interface, the documentation, and everything related to this process.
- The current list of KDE translation teams and their coordinators, including mailing lists, web sites and a few hints about the status of the individual teams.
- Lots of information on documentation, among others: Joining the KDE Documentation Team, The KDE DocBook Authors guide, Screenshot Guidelines and much more.
- The Tools Page has specialized software for translators and documenters which found a home on this server. Most notably, the standard program for all KDE translation: KBabel.
- Lists of what's already translated for both - the Applications and the Documentation, in the trunk branch, also telling you what is not translated yet.
- Daily archives of all current applications and documentations translations for each language team packed in BZ2 format and ready for download.
Note : The above is taken from the KDE l10n page.
