Annual Tourism Revenues and Overnight Visitor Numbers
Annual Tourism Revenues and Overnight Visitor Numbers
The projection model is based on actual hotel tax revenue increases over previous years, and average length of stay and daily expenditures per visitor from Tourism Victoria’s Annual Exit Survey. The projected tourism revenues are divided by the average (mean) length of hotel/motel stay and the daily expenditure per person to arrive at the estimated number of annual overnight visitors.
