Revised points Clipsal, AGP and Outright Revised points Clipsal, AGP and Outright
May 1st, 2008

The Round points from both Clipsal and the AGP along with the outright championship standings have been revised as Hector Lester (Ferrari 430) is ineligible to receive Championship points

The reason for this is because Hector Lester was competing under a new licence system recently implemented by CAMS which means anyone competing with a foreign licence and a Foreign Participation Visa under FIA ISC Regulation 18 Para 5 is not allowed to score championship points

Apologies for any inconvenience. The revised points are now available under the 'Round Results' for the respective rounds and 'Championship standings'

INCORRECT MEDIA COVERAGE ON FINAL GT ROUND RESULT AT AGPINCORRECT MEDIA COVERAGE ON FINAL GT ROUND RESULT AT AGP
March 18th, 2008

Some media outlets have incorrectly reported the Round winner from the AGP as being John Bowe. The correct & official AGP round winner is Mark Eddy

These media outlets based their story/result from the point structure for a 3 race scenario instead of a 4 race scenario which the official GT results are based on

*NB the total amount of points available at any one round does not change regardless of how many races there are

The correct and official GT results have been available on the GT website since shortly after Race 4 on Sunday March 16th

The outlets have been contacted concerning this and have been requested to fix immediately and/or print retractions

RITTER MAKES COMEBACKRITTER MAKES COMEBACK
August 29th, 2006

An exciting new development in the GT Championship has come about as Michael "Just f#$@ing get on with it" Ritter is set to join the ranks of drivers in this year’s GT Championship.

Having witnessed with disgust the less than inspiring drives of Reynolds and Burchartz at Phillip Island, Ritter was drawn to the notion of donning the lid and pulling on the single layer ("3 layers are for chicks") Gulf driving suit and tucking in the chest wig for a lash at the Queensland round.  Not content with simply "guiding" his drivers, he has decided to fly in the face of convention and take his charges on a wild ride of learning, cutting a few laps in anger.

One will recall that until "discovering" that the only way to make money in motor racing is to avoid competing and instead, assist those who have yet to discover this self evident truth, Ritter was reputed to be one of the most dashing drivers since Jacques Villenueve first went blonde and settled for Kylies sister.

His plan for the weekend is simple.  Do and installation lap, next one a flyer - set a new lap record and then jump on the Moped in search of "appropriate" company.

All at Sonic are somewhat dumbfounded at the boss's "can do" attitude but knew that things were getting serious when he was seen backing off after 7 Crownies and 4 dimmies at morning tea, taking a break from setting the demon tweaks to Burchartz's old nail ... that and repeating  "couldn't get a clear lap" and "bloody Crick, holding me up on the back straight"

The weekend is set to be a whirlwind rollercoaster of emotion

Australian GT Sportscar Group would also like to thank the drivers and teams who kindly donated 'hot laps' at Phillip Island, along with PIARC who kindly donated tickets for the event.
