What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, purchase orders, and direct billing.

Do I have choices for shipping?
Yes. We can tailor the shipping to your specific needs. If you need faster service ("Panic" or "Rush") we will customize shipping and handling to meet your needs. We can ship to you directly from the publisher, shortening the time until delivery. If you have a carrier you prefer, we can generally make arrangements to use that carrier.

  • "Regular" shipping guarantees getting materials to you in 7-21 days (depending on availability)
  • "Rush" shipping guarantees getting materials to you in 3-6 days (extra shipping charges may apply)
  • "Panic" shipping guarantees getting materials to you in 1-2 days (extra shipping charges may apply)

What is a business day?
Monday through Friday are considered business days. Saturday or Sunday deliveries can be made with special arrangements.

Do you charge any tax?
We are required by law to charge sales tax in the state of Wisconsin. For other states, we do not charge any sales tax.

How do I select the books I need?
Quick Order -- Enter as much information as you have and click "Order." We'll do the rest.

Search - Type your information into the Search field. Then select the appropriate search type, and click the search button. Add items to your shopping basket until you are finished, and then select Checkout for a fast and easy order.

Do you sell used books?
We sell new books, but we will search for used and out-of-print books for you.

What if there is something wrong with my order or I have difficulties using your Web site?
If you have experienced any problems with your order, we will do everything possible to make you happy. Call 800-236-7323 or e-mail us to get the problem corrected.

What is your guarantee?
We guarantee your satisfaction. You can return any book within 90 days after receipt for any (or no) reason. The only exception is those books specifically purchased for and quoted to you as non-returnable. For more information on our return policy, read "What is your return policy?" Additionally, we use Verisign's superior encryption service to protect your credit card number and have added an additional money-back guarantee to protect you from fraud. For more information on credit card protection, read "How is my credit card number protected?"

What is your return policy?
Because our goal is to make returns as easy as possible for you, 800-CEO-READ will refund the full cost of your book purchase within 90 days after you receive your order. Please note that books must be returned in their original condition, with no writing or other damage. Also, be sure not to open any software until you are sure you will keep the book. We cannot take returns on books if the seal on any included software is broken.

If you are returning books because of a mistake we made - for example, if the books are damaged when you get them - please call 800-236-7323 and one of our Client Services Associates will correct this immediately.

When we receive your return, we will promptly credit your account for the full cost of the book purchase. We can only refund your shipping cost if the return is the result of our error. Are all items in your database currently in-stock?
We are an "on-demand" provider. While we stock a good number of the best-selling business and technical titles, we also order and ship directly from publishers and distributors. This way, we are able to offer you the widest range of titles, while keeping shipping charges low.

How up-to-date is your database?
We do an overall update of our entire database monthly, and are adding and correcting our database daily to offer you correct and timely information.

If there are difficulties with my online order, how will I be notified?
You will receive an e-mail regarding any difficulties with your order within 24 hours of our receipt of your order. Because your company's personal representative handles each successfully submitted order, there is no lag time between our receipt of your order and current information.

If an item is not in stock, do you backorder?
If an item is not available at the time of your order, but has a projected due date from the publisher, that item is automatically put on backorder. You will receive, within 24 hours of our receipt of your order, an e-mail regarding any book which will not ship within your preferred shipping time.

What is the normal turn-around time on my order?
After you have placed your order and received your automated confirmation of that order via e-mail, our web order specialist takes over. We pull web orders as they are received, take note of your preferred shipping method, and proceed to locate your book(s). Availability, special order requirements, and your preferred ship method will affect turn-around time. In-stock orders may arrive in 3-5 business days, while special orders may take up to 2 weeks.

What is your price guarantee?
We consider our Web site price our quote to you. On the occasion that the publisher has changed the list price or a new edition has been issued to the book you wish to order, you will be notified by a Customer Service Associate of the change.

Do you match competitor prices?
We take pride in our history of fair and consistent pricing. We offer a 20% discount on all trade titles, hardcover or paperback, and Books-In-Print pricing on all other titles

How is my credit card number protected?
Shopping at 800-CEO-READ is secure. Every credit card purchase is encrypted by VeriSign, the leader in processing secure internet payments. The VeriSign software encrypts credit card information as it is transmitted, making the transaction safe and your credit card information secure.

We also offer an additional credit card guarantee. Though we have full confidence in the safety of Internet transactions and our credit card partner VeriSign, 800-CEO-READ provides this additional guarantee to protect against fraud. If through no fault of your own, your credit card company finds that credit card fraud has occurred resulting from use of our site, and does not waive your entire liability, we will reimburse you for the remaining liability, up to a maximum of $50.00.

When you place an order online with 800-CEO-READ, your personal information and credit card information are encrypted using SSL technology before being sent over the Internet. This process makes it virtually impossible for your information to be stolen or intercepted while being transferred. Any stored information is protected inside an encrypted database.

UPS Standard Service to Canada
UPS Standard to Canada provides prompt, dependable service with low-cost, fully tracked ground delivery. UPS Standard is available to every address in the ten provinces. Your shipping charge will depend upon the weight of your package and your postal code. Use the Shopping Cart and your charge will be calculated automatically for all of your "Regular" shipments to Canada. If you need "Rush" or "Panic" shipping, the cost will be quoted to you prior to shipment, unless you have requested otherwise. Please note: UPS Standard to Canada rates do not include customs clearance. See Customs Information section for more information.

International Shipping
Our standard service is primarily carried by UPS Worldwide Express. The service is guaranteed, door-to-door, and provides customs-cleared delivery to over 200 countries and territories. Transit time after leaving our warehouse is generally two days to most European cities and three days to other destinations worldwide. When you use the Shopping Cart for your "Regular" orders worldwide, your shipping charges will be calculated automatically. If your order is comprised of over 20 books, or if your order is "Rush" or "Panic," a Client Services Associate will be happy to make custom delivery arrangements for you and quote the costs prior to shipment.

Customs Information
Import duties and customs fees are charged to the receiving customer once the package reaches the destination country. Customs policies vary widely from country to country and we generally cannot determine what these fees will be for you. We strongly recommend that each customer contact their local customs office for details as to how these fees are assessed and applied.
