Testimonials.

"I am a long time fan of the Moscow Times. Due to my profession, I read a large number of newspapers, among which the Moscow Times stands out in several respects. First of all, it furnishes different viewpoints, allowing the reader to draw conclusions based on comparison. Second, it presents objective news and does not confuse news with editorials or opinion pieces. Third, it adheres to the highest journalistic principles. Fourth, it does not publish misleading headlines, nor does it deal in rumors. Finally, it is well written and should be complimented on it's standards of English. I congratulate the Moscow Times on its 15th anniversary, during which time it has remained truly independent - keep up the good work!"
-Vladimir Pozner, Journalist and author

Create Yourself

28 May 2008The newspaper The Moscow Times is happy to announce the start of a charity program "Create Yourself" to aid children with limited abilities including a website, www.sotvorisebya.ru, and photo album with children's drawings and photos. Every child will receive as a gift the photo album with their own creations.

With this project the organizers would like to show adults that all children can develop, create and live active social lives.  Participants in the program are children from 5 to 14 years of age (not depending on their level of health).

The project will include:
creation of a website with photographs and information about the participants and partners, competition of drawings and photographs, exhibition of photographs and drawings, publication of a photo album (each participant will receive a copy of the photo album as a gift), press conference (presentation of the photo album) and gathering of resources to help children with limited abilities.

On the program's website will be information about the non-profit participants so that sponsor companies and private individuals may transfer funds to them directly.  The charity organization is required only to communicate to possible participants about the competition and to invite them to participate.  The organizers are ready to help children by placing their work on the website.
