It is clear that a new Strategic Plan alone will not guarantee the Centre achieving its mission and goal. A number of key areas have been identified that need to be addressed so that they do not become impediments to progress. The Centre has therefore prepared a Transition Plan that aims to transform UNEP-WCMC into an institution structured and focused to provide access to biodiversity information in a manner tha will enhance its incorporation into policies and decisions at all levels.
The Transition Plan has been fully costed and funds are being sought to ensure its efficient implementation. Anyone wishing to assist should contact UNEP-WCMC’s Head of Development.
