Portfolio Affairs Branch
The Canadian Heritage Portfolio is comprised of 19 organizations, including the Department of Canadian Heritage, 5 departmental agencies (such as Library and Archives Canada and the National Film Board of Canada), 9 Crown corporations (including the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and the National Arts Centre), 3 independent organizations and 1 administrative tribunal.
The Portfolio Affairs Branch integrates policy, planning, reporting, governance and communication issues related to the organizations and agencies of the Canadian Heritage portfolio. This Branch supports the portfolio organizations in ensuring that Canadians have access to Canadian stories, Canadian choices and Canadian content, while remaining open to the best the world has to offer.
