TVT Win Television Tas
TVT6 Hobart started 23 May 1960. In 1982 it merged with TNT9 Launceston to create Tas TV. This station covered the whole of Tasmania, one station in the South and one in the North.
In 1989 the North station separated from the network. Tas TV South was left by itself serving Southern Tasmania as Tas TV. It was owned by ENT (Examiner-Northern Tasmania).
On the 30 April 1994 Tasmania was aggregated and Tas TV became the affiliate of the Nine Network in the whole of Tasmania.
In 1995, WIN Television bought ENT in a forced take-over. |
