Stocks swoon despite rate cuts
Oct. 8 - Wall Street fluctuated between a rally and a decline as investors tried to gauge what a surprise coordinated global rate cut meant for the economic outlook.
But by lunchtime Wall Street turned decidedly negative as economic worries continued to dog investor sentiment. Conway Gittens reports from New York.
