Suggested Itineraries - Ape Cave Area

We have a variety of itineraries with realistic timelines and diverse activities to maximize your students experience at Mount St. Helens. The timelines for all of the itineraries are based on your arrival to Woodland, Washington (Interstate 5, Exit #21).

Elementary school itineraries are designed for 4th and 5th grade students. Middle school itineraries are designed for 6th-8th grade students. Begin by selecting sites that meet the earth science subject areas you would want to teach. When you open an itinerary review each student activity. Each activity includes goals and objectives, instructional sequences, student worksheets and answer sheets.

Make sure you write down name of the itinerary you are interested in, or print off a copy of it before proceeding to “Step 2 –Check Registration Calendar”.
