Reno Airport participates in disaster drill
Employees at the Reno Tahoe International Airport participated in the Broken Wing Disaster drill, where they simulated a major jet crash. Emergency crews learned exactly what it's like to deal with the crash of a Boeing 737, and airport officials learned what to expect in that situation. Response teams from 50 different agencies participated in the drill.

Reno-Tahoe International conducts disaster drill
One hundred volunteers will help nearly every emergency agency in Washoe County at the airport's "Broken Wing" disaster drill.  The airport is required by the FAA to conduct the drill.  It will simulate a large scale plane crash.  The airport says to expect extra traffic on site during the drill on Thur., May 15.

Reno airport changes baggage check-in procedures
Expect some travel delays at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport for the next two weeks. The baggage check in system is changing because the luggage scanning machines are being relocated to the temporary ticketing lobby on the south end of the terminal.
