Anderson goes pro in Korea

Men's volleyball team wins national title

The No. 1 Penn State men's volleyball team defeated No. 2 Pepperdine 3-1 (27-30, 33-31, 30-25, 30-23) Saturday night in Irvine, Calif., to become the first school east of the Mississippi to win an NCAA volleyball championship. Updated 11:57 AM

In early March, Matt Anderson filled the doorway of his locker room with his hands over his head. The Lions were in the midst of a 47-game win streaking and 15 consecutive sweeps.

Volleyball teams bond over success

Following the awards ceremony for the EIVA championship Saturday, Dennis Del Valle climbed into the baseline stands to celebrate with some of the Penn State men's volleyball team's greatest fans -- the Penn State women's team.

Pavlik upholds legacy

When Penn State men’s volleyball coach Mark Pavlik moved his office from the Bryce Jordan Center to Rec Hall in 1999, he had a vision.
