Erin Christy wakes up bright and early in the morning to anchor Channel 2 News Today and Channel 2 News Midday. She joined KJRH in April 2003 as a General Assignment Reporter. Before coming to Tulsa, Erin was morning anchor and consumer reporter for WMDT, the ABC affiliate in Salisbury, Maryland. Before beginning her career in broadcasting, Erin worked as a public relations associate at a firm in our nation's capital, Washington, D.C.
Although she spent some time on the East Coast, Erin says she is glad to be back in her home state of Oklahoma! She has lived in Weatherford and Claremore, but spent most of her "growing years" in Norman. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Journalism.
In her free time, Erin simply enjoys being outside--whether it's heading to the lake on the weekend or just taking a walk or sitting out on a patio. She also enjoys the theatre, listening to music, movies, long-distance running, and spending time with her two dogs, Budro and Maya. Erin is an animal lover! She also volunteers for the Humane Society of Tulsa. You can see Erin co-anchor with Scott Jones Monday through Friday from 5-7 a.m. and again from 11 a.m.-noon.
