Auto bailout moves toward a vote in Congress
Prospects for enactment of an auto industry rescue bill improved enough Wednesday for House leaders to schedule a test vote amid an emerging consensus with the White House on the fine print in the $15 billion emergency loan. Money could be disbursed within days to cash-starved GM, Chrysler and Ford.
