Marla Carter says she's so excited to be here in Tulsa! A Kansas City native, she feels right at home here in the midwest.
She joined KJRH in March of 2007 as an investigative reporter. Before joining Channel 2 she worked at WIBW in Topeka, Kansas for more than three years.
While there, she received a Kansas Association of Broadcasters award for a series on sex offenders.
Before her time in Topeka she worked at the NBC affiliate in Columbia, Missouri. Her coverage of a hospital consultant group got her a Missouri Broadcasters award for investigative reporting.
While she's in the Sooner state Marla promises to be impartial, even though she's a tiger at heart. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a bachelors in journalism.
