2 Lbs. lean ground lamb or beef, ground twice
1 1/2 c. fine cracked wheat
1 lg. onion, ground or finely diced
salt and pepper to taste
dash marjoram
1/2 c. cold water
1 stick butter melted

Rinse the wheat in a pan of water.  Drain water from the wheat until no moisture remains.  Add wheat, onions, salt, pepper and marjoram to the ground meat.  Knead well.  Add cold water as needed to soften.  Knead again.  Pat into a baking pan.  Spoon melted butter over top.  Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
