Coming into Friday’s matchup against UNLV, most of the pregame chatter was about how the Runnin’ Rebels style would hurt the San Diego State volleyball team. But in reality, the only thing hurting SDSU Friday night was itself. It's not often a team gets swept and still considers it a step forward. For the San Diego State volleyball team, though, that's exactly what happened. SDSU lost to TCU Saturday in straight sets but showed signs of improvement and consistency. The environment inside Peterson Gym was as loud and raucous as any player could ask for on his or her home court. However, even the loud, enthusiastic crowd couldn't stop the San Diego State volleyball team from being silenced by Mountain West Conference rivals TCU.
