Digital Ortho Photos
Cloud-free,
black and white (panchromatic), 1:24,000, aerial photographs of eastern
Boulder County were taken in April 1999.
Using primary and secondary control points from the control
densification project, the digitally scanned photos were rectified into
digital ortho photos. Digital image specifications include 18-inch pixels
with 3.8-foot horizontal positional accuracy. DOP images are in Colorado
State Plane, North Zone projection, based on the 1992 HARN adjustment of the
1983 North American Datum datum (NAD 83/92).
Digital ortho photos were developed by the Boulder Area
Spatial Information Cooperative (BASIC),
an intergovernmental group consisting of local, regional, state, and federal
agencies.
DOP Data File Coverage Areas
Project area DOP datasets are considered cost recovery data and are
available on CD-ROM for three DOP

- 91 tiles, each comprised of approximately 4 square miles (2 x 2 Public
Land Survey sections), using a number-letter designation based on rows
and columns;
- 11 township-sized mosaics (approximately 36 square miles each); and,
- a project-wide mosaic.
