Consortium of Cities
Energy Strategy Task Force
In April of 2006, the Consortium of Cities established the
Energy Strategy Task Force. The purpose of the Boulder County
Consortium of Cities’ Energy Strategy Task Force is to provide a
countywide clearinghouse for information and education on energy
issues and a framework for local and regional action on energy
sustainability.
The goal of the Task Force is to create
collaborative approaches among Boulder County, the municipalities in
the County, Broomfield City and County, their businesses, non-profit
organizations and residents to address critical energy concerns and
strategies, such as reduction of the emission of green house gases
that are producing global warming, the promotion of renewable energy
production, and reducing the energy costs incurred by residents and
businesses.
The Consortium approved the
Sustainable Energy Plan in 2008.
