Wrexham began the month with successive defeats against Burton Albion and Cambridge before returning to winning ways with a 3-2 victory against Ebbsfleet United at The Racecourse on Saturday.
On Saturday, the Reds make the trip to troubled Grays United who have named coach Tim O'Shea as their new manager following chairman Mike Woodward's decision to step down from the role and put his share in the club up for sale.
Following that first league trip to Grays, when Wrexham will be looking to win back-to-back matches for the first time since April 2007, the Reds end the month with successive matches at The Racecourse against Rushden & Diamonds (Sep 23) and Torquay (Sep 27).
And Little hopes to record a favourable result at Grays to leave his side in good shape for those two home games.
"It will be great if we can build on Saturday's win," said Little today. "Grays are having a few problems, and then we have got a couple of home games to end the month.
"To get something this weekend would be very important to set us up for two home games.
"It would be nice to finish September in a reasonable position.
"We have always played more away games than home games this season so we have been playing catch-up.
"Burton at home was disappointing, and one point would be better than defeat.
"But you can see with the league just how important home games are.
"They will be two hard home games but games we can go into in a positive frame of mind. The aim is to end the month on a high."
Victory against Ebbsfleet leaves Wrexham in eighth position, five points off the play-offs and a further two off top spot currently held by Crawley Town.
Having been fifth before those two successive defeats, Little wants Wrexham to retain their place among the front-runners.
"The short term aim is to be in the top section," said Little.
"Two Saturdays ago we looked in good nick so it just shows what kind of a division it is.
"We fell from being in that top section and there was that bit of extra pressure.
"It would be nice to get there and cement our position, stay focussed and not be chasing.
"We are not far from being in a good position."
Meanwhile, Wrexham were today playing a behind closed doors friendly against Chester City to give a number of players a much needed run-out.
