We evaluated the impact on sexual life, psychological state, and the relationship on partners of men with erectile dysfunction (ED). Sixty women who accompanied their husbands in urology consultation at University Hospital Ibn Rushd of Casablanca were included to the sample. The tools of the study were a questionnaire, established by the authors collecting details on demography, income, and habits. The sexuality and its dysfunction had been explored with 15 items. Depression, anxiety, and partner relationship were explored by the Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI), Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS), Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS), and the Locke-Wallace Marital Adjustment test (LWMAT). Concerning sexual activity, 50% of partners with ED were unsatisfied; however, they thought their partners were unsatisfied in 80% of the cases. All the women had not had another partner, and 15% had masturbated. We also found that 15% suffered from depression, 5% with high intensity (HDRS score more than 16), and 10% had a score more than 20 in the HARS. 30% had a low score of Locke Wallace Marital Adjustment Scale (less than 80).
