Dan Robinson - US House of Representatives

Dan Robinson
Dan Robinson is a quarter century news veteran who has had numerous roles throughout VOA since 1979. He served as VOA East Africa Bureau Chief from 1982 to 1986, then returned to Washington to host Nightline Africa and other programs with English to Africa until 1990. From 1991 to 1996, Dan was VOA Southeast Asia Bureau Chief in Bangkok, covering political and economic stories in Vietnam, Burma, Cambodia and East Timor among other places.

Dan headed VOA's Burmese Service from 1997 to 2001. You can now hear his reports from Capitol Hill, where he is the VOA House of Representatives Correspondent.

Dan has a B.A. in International Relations and Broadcasting from The American University, in Washington, D.C. Dan has a son, and when not covering Capitol Hill can be found enjoying his large collection of shortwave radios in Rockville, Maryland.
