Samantha Lane joined The Age's sport team in 2007 after beginning with The Sunday Age in 2005. Voted the AFL Players' Association's football writer of the year in 2007, Lane contributes news and feature stories. She is also part of Channel Ten's AFL coverage, appearing on Before the Game every Saturday night during the season. She also joins ABC radio's football team in season 2008, and is now a regular in the pre-match discussion on Sunday afternoons. Lane has also covered Australian Open grand slams for The Age.
