The Billboard Latin Music Awards will air live April 23 on the Telemundo network, both in the United States and internationally. The Latin music industry's most prestigious award show returns to Telemundo following the extension of Billboard's multi-year relationship with the network.

Renowned producer Tony Mojena, who has long put the show together, will continue as its executive producer.

The new agreement between Telemundo Communications Group and Billboard grants Telemundo expanded exclusive rights across multiple platforms, including television, online and mobile.

This year's Billboard Latin Music Awards celebrates the 11th year Telemundo has broadcast the show. As is customary, the Billboard Latin Music Awards are the culmination of the Billboard Latin Music Conference, the largest gathering of Latin music professionals in the world, which this year celebrates its 20th anniversary. The conference takes place April 19-23 at the Eden Roc in Miami Beach.

"We're thrilled to expand our relationship with Telemundo as it allows us to significantly extend Billboard's Latin music coverage and enhance our presence in the Latin music market with a world-class organization," says Billboard publisher Howard Appelbaum.

As part of its expanded agreement, Telemundo will present award-related programs, including "La Alfombra Roja de los Premios Billboard" (The Billboard Awards Red Carpet), "Reventon Billboard," which features behind-the-scenes coverage of the awards and numerous awards-related events, including the Billboard Bash; and "mun2 Premios Bullboard All Access," which airs on the Telemundo-owned mun2 network.

The new deal also makes Telemundo.com the official Web site of the Billboard Latin Music Awards. The site will offer ongoing, interactive coverage of the awards.

"The Billboard Latin Music Awards is one of Telemundo's most successful franchises, with last year's show proving to be a ratings hit," said Don Browne, president of Telemundo.

"The Billboard Latin Music Awards are an iconic event, starring the hottest talent in Latin music and I look forward to taking the show to new heights," added executive producer Mojena.
