Did the Washington Post get "justdafacts" in its Steele piece

Regular readers of Red Maryland and O’Malley Watch should be familiar with one of our favorite antagonists “justdafacts”. Justdafacts is the nom de cyber of one Steve Lebowitz, who unabashedly states, “I make no bones about who I am and where I’m coming from. I support and defend Gov. O’Malley, and I’ve volunteered on every one of his campaigns since 1990."

I asked Professor Allison Hayward of George Mason University School of Law an expert in campaign finance laws a few questions about this. Professor Hayward served as Chief of Staff and Counsel in the office of Federal Election Commission Commissioner Bradley A.

The “Liberal Mainstream Media:” Too Broad a Brush (The Dana Milbank Example)

--Richard E. Vatz

I hear the phrases “the liberal media” and “the liberal mainstream media” all the time, and I may have inadvertently used the phrases myself. Still, I shouldn’t do so without a qualifier, and neither should you. It oversimplifies the phenomenon of print and electronic media which may have prevailing liberal biases but which differ in the uniformity and ubiquity of those biases and the ability to be a “watchdog press” and to be fair. In this article I restrict myself to looking at NEWS media, although much that is said is applicable to other media as well.
