Pruszkow

18-7-2008 Pruszków - city of sport and successful investments Pruszków is the biggest city of Warsaw?s western outskirts. It has the population of 54.000 (135.000 in the area of the bigger administrative district). The proximity of Warsaw (18 km of distance), undergoing the period of a dynamic economical growth, is its undeniable advantage.

All government institutions, non-governmental organizations, as well as financial centres are based in the capital city of Warsaw.

Well developed communication infrastructure and proximity of major domestic and international routes guarantees easy transfers within Pruszków and outside it. A railway line provides another way of transporting goods in the area of Pruszków; also, there is one of the biggest railway cargo terminals in Poland. Another advantage is the Okęcie airport.

Pruszków boasts three sports halls, two modern stadiums, sports complexes and playing fields, as well as a network of hotels. The construction of Europe?s most modern cycling track is about to finish. The 2008 European championships and 2009 world championships in track cycling are going to take place there.
