So, the more I frequent St. Paul's at the Milwaukee Public Market, the more I like the place. Maybe to note, first, too, is the fact that the Market is finally coming into it's own. It seems that vendors have fallen into place (with the exception of the soon loss of El Rey), and there is just a good vibe everytime I'm there. That being said, my husband and I decided to enjoy the sunshine on Saturday and take a nice walk to the Market to buy some eats for our impending V-day dinner. The place was hopping, and we were unable to resist the temptation to enjoy a mid-day snack, so we sat down at a table in the new "dining" area of St. Paul's. About 30 minutes, $1 Schlitz taps, clam chowder, and basket of fried oysters later, we were completely happy. The food was great, the beer was tasty, and we were totally satisfied. I must say, also, that we've hit up St. Paul's on other various days, and it's only getting better. We've done the raw bar at the counter, which was grand. We're still needing to do the $12.95 lobster dinner (I think it's offered every night, now?). The single downfall that I've experience, though, was the Taco Tuesday special. The fish was good, but all in all, it was a bit dry. I noticed that the menu has expanded, so I'm excited to work my way through it.

Basically, I just wanted to say that I'm proud of the public market, and am looking forward to evenings and lunches spent with some tasty eats, good wine or beer, and possibly even a game or two at Thief.

Why are we drinking this week?
Because it's snowing in late February.
It makes Danny Gokey more handsome.
Because it eases the anxiety over "Bachelorette Molly's" destiny.
Because of the Brewers' starting rotation.
It's the economy, stupid.
I'm training for Summerfest.
I'm counting on the tax break to cover my bar tab.
Because it's Bar Month, duh!
