Marchisio goal brings Juve 3 points!

Juventus wanted three points and they got them. Poulsen can celebrate his birthday in style also thanks to a Marchisio goal which resulted to be the winner.

The first half is nearly totally one-sided with Juventus who look concentrated and more then determined continuously on the attack. On the 4th minute Giovinco enters the area with a series of dribbles but the defence manages to clear. One minute later the ball reaches Trezeguet in the area but the flag is up for off-side.

On the 6th minute Napoli risk an own goal after a Marchionni cross. The ball goes inches wide. One minute later there is another good ball into the Napoli area but the defence clears. Juventus are continuously on the attack and on the 8th minute Trezeguet manages to deviate a good ball but it goes wide. Two minutes later Grygera controls and turns well, producing a beautiful shot which the goalkeeper saves.

The 13th minute sees Giovinco who does some good work on the attack putting a good ball inside with the Napoli defence careful. Seconds later Del Piero crosses into the area for Trezeguet who is off-side. The first real goal opportunity however comes on the 14thy minute when Marchionni crosses to Trezeguet who shoots but the keeper saves. From the re-bound Giovinco with a first-timer sees the ball go high.

A quarter of an hour into the game Juventus are awarded a free-kick: Del Piero from 25 meters shoots a great projectile with Navarro performing a miracle. The first Napoli attempt comes on the 17th minute when the ball reaches Denis in the area but Buffon is well-placed and saves easily. One minute later, Marchionni attempts a dribble too many, after a great move to enter the area.

Juventus continue taking the initiative and deserve a goal. On the 24th minute a ball into the Napoli area reaches Del Piero but the captain is off-side. Three minutes later a good long ball by Poulsen towards Giovinco on-side who sees Navarro reaching the ball a split second before.

On the 29th minute Marchionni puts a ball towards Trezeguet in the area but Santacroce puts into corner. From the flag the ball reaches the area but the defence manages to clear.
Two minutes later there is a ball into the area for Giovinco who fails to control and the defence clear.

The 32nd minute sees the referee awarding Napoli a free-kick after a Legrottaglie foul on Denis. Legrottaglie is shown a debatable yellow card and will miss the derby on Saturday.
Two minutes later Giovinco attempts a cross into the area but it is too long and goes straight into the hands of Navarro. The second Napoli attempt comes on the 35th minute when Hamsik shoots from outside the area but the ball goes very high. Two minutes later Buffon performs a great save after a dangerous Hamsik initiative. This is really the only dangerous Napoli initiative in the first half.

On the 38th minute Molinaro passes to Giovinco who breaks away on a great run but the ball is too long and goes beyond the line. One minute later The ball reaches Del Piero in the area who does not manage to control well but Marchionni collects and shoots high. O

The 43rd minute Giovinco who puts a good ball to Marchionni nwho shoots but the defence clears. One minute later Juventus are rewarded for their efforts: Pouslen passes to Marchisio who shoots from outside the area, the ball is deviated by Blasi and ends at the back of the net for the opener : 1-0.

The second half is a rather different story with a much more reactive Napoli. On the 2nd minute there is a free-kick for Juventus: Del Piero from 38 meters shoots high due to a wall which is far too close. Three minutes later there is a good Juve initiative with the ball into the area for Trezeguet who doesn't manage to control. On the 6th minute Hamsik shoots but Buffon cradles the ball.

On the 7th minute Marchionni exchanges with Grygera who puts a ball towards Giovinco. The atomic ant collects and crosses into the area but the defence clears into corner.  Five minutes later there is a free-kick for Napoli: ball into the area and Hamsik heads wide. On the 13th minute Marchionni puts a good ball into the area which is slightly high for Trezeguet. Two minutes later the Napoli defence make a mistake and the ball reaches Del Piero in the area but the captain does not manage to turn.

Between the 17th and 22nd minute there are two changes for Juventus: Salihamidzic on for Giovinco and Amauri on for Del Piero. On the 23rd minute there is a free-kick for Napoli: Buffon and Legrottaglie collide in an aerial encounter with the defender getting the worst. The defender is forced to leave the field 3 minutes later with Mellberg taking his place. On the 31st minute Amauri protects a great ball, passes to Trezguet who enters the area with the defence putting into a corner. From the flag a dangerous ball is put into the area but Chiellini fouls the keeper.

Two minutes later Trezeguet after a good run, enters the area and crosses to Amauri who heads wide. On the 37th minute Buffon saves easily after a ball was put into the area. One minute later Amauri wins a ball in the area but the referee whistles a foul against him. Three minutes later Poulsen resorts to a corner after a rather good Napoli initiative.

On the 42nd minute there is a free-kick for Napoli from 34 meters. The ball enters the area, Buffon saves with some difficulty and the ball is deposited in the net by Lavezzi but the flag was up. Two minutes later Chiellini in a decisive intervention on what seemed a dangerous initiative. Seconds later Marchionni receives the ball outside the area, turns and shoots but the ball goes wide. In the third minute of injury time Chiellini is shown a yellow card for an aerial intervention. Free-kick for Napoli: ball into the area but Buffon gathers easily.
