As for King Abdullah I, was it really religious fervour which underpinned his war? You surely know how the man ended, assassinated by an underground Palestinian organization led by Daoud al-Husayni, aide of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, most likely, so I understand, for his secret deal with Ben Gurion (through Golda Meir) not to invade the portion allotted to the Jewish state by Res. 181.
