Jennifer Beine Technology Coordinator, Chester Upland School of the Arts, Chester, PA

Jennifer Beine has instructed teachers and students in Pre-K through seventh grades in various diverse settings. Her focus is on curriculum integration and in developing a student mentorship program. Students in this program mentor both senior citizens and younger age students. As well as being the On-site Director for our Building Learning Communities Conference in the summer, she has been a instructor for a graduate school in Pennsylvania.

Seth Bowers has been an educator for thirteen years on the South Side of Chicago and in the northern and western suburbs. Over the past decade he has focused on a variety of educational issues: integrating technology into curriculum, writing district K-5 Technology Benchmarks, launching and supporting various district blog and wiki sites, using modern web tools to put students in touch with primary sources, and collaborating for service learning.

Christine has extensive experience in the classroom, and as a writer, BLC Conference Director and instructional designer for November Learning. She is the Director of Instructional Designer for Lone Star College Online in Texas. Her areas of expertise include professional development, web literacy and critical thinking. Christine has amassed a wealth of activities and best-practice teaching techniques for engaging students in the classroom and beyond.

Tom Daccord Educational Technology Trainer, Speaker and Author, Chestnut Hill, MA

Tom Daccord is an author, the co-director of The Center for Teaching History with Technology, and webmaster of Teaching English & Language Arts with Technology. His mission is to help humanities teachers incorporate technology effectively into their courses. Tom has presented at many national conferences and was featured in the Boston Globe (“Making Tech Connect,” December 29, 2003) for his contributions to teaching with technology.

Dr. Howie DiBlasi is a retired business and education leader who has extensive hands on experience in training administrators and educators using 21st Century technology and applications. During Howie’s 30+ year career in education, he was recognized as Vocational Teacher of the Year for the State of Arizona and nominated as a finalist in the Top Secondary Leaders in America.

Lainie McGann Educational Technology Coordinator, Newport-Mesa Unified School District, CA

Lainie McGann is a K-12 Educational Technology Coordinator for Newport-Mesa Unified School District. In addition to November Learning, Lainie serves as a consultant and trainer for CUEtoYOU. Lainie works closely with K-12 teachers by providing professional development and best practice strategies to improve teaching and learning through the integration of technology.

Carolyn Staudt Curriculum Designer, The Concord Consortium, Concord, MA

Carolyn Staudt is a curriculum designer for several technology and Internet-based projects specializing in the educational uses of probes and handheld computers. She has 20 years experience teaching science and math, including physics, chemistry, geoscience, and space science. She holds a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in science from Kent State University and was a Christa McAuliffe Fellow in 1990.
