Horror fans looking for the straight goods on new releases and classic scarefests may dig up just the right thing at The Flesh Farm. From obscure pictures like Ruggero Deodato's insanely gory Cannibal Holocaust to the latest big-budget Stephen King adaptation or Hannibal Lecter picture, this review site seeks to cover the "macabre, bizarre and grotesque" in film with verve and enthusiasm.
The reviewers at The Flesh Farm encompass a range of tastes. Their staff includes a specialist in Italian horror films, and they cover suspense thrillers—some with paranormal elements and some without—and horror comedies in the Black Sheep vein. Even the later (and usually weaker) entries in series like Nightmare on Elm Street and Sleepaway Camp get loving, if always critical, attention. These reviews are accompanied by cast and crew information, a photo gallery, a "Coroner's Report" that specifically addresses the film's body count and a short "Did you Know?" section with trivia and gossip about the stars, crew and the making of the movie.

Like many horror sites, The Flesh Farm is neither work-safe nor especially kid-friendly—its contents are for mature visitors, and its galleries and ads all have a definite lean to the gory erotica of low-budget slasher flicks. Though reviews are its backbone, the site supplements this content with an excellent links page, a few interviews, a "Column for the Dead," movie trailers and, finally, a recommended reading list for anyone ready for a break from the TV or movie screen.
