Anime Influences
Shogo is influenced by Anime (japanese take of the word Animation) such as Ghost in the Shell, Akira, Venus wars etc.
Anime is the most popular form of entertainment in Japan and comes in two main styles. Anime and Manga (literally: irresponsible pictures).
3D Acceleration Support
Shogo will support all chipsets that are DirectX 6 compatible. This includes but is not limited to:
- 1) 3DFX Voodoo2: released.
- 2) NVidia RIVA TNT: pending.
- 3) Matrox MGA G200: released.
- 4) 3DFX Banshee: pending.
- 5) S3 Savage3D: pending.
- 6) NEC/Videologic PVRSG: pending.
- 7) 3DFX Voodoo 1: released.
- 8) NVidia RIVA 128/128ZX: released.
- 9) Intel i740: released.
- 10) Rendition Verite 2200.
Due to LithTech's modularity, any company will be able to "drop-in" a renderer of their choice, allowing full compatibility with almost anything.
Release Information
Shogo will be released around October 19th (A demo on October 2nd) and be published in North America, Japan and Russia by Monolith Productions.
Microids will be publishing Shogo throughout most of Europe.
Mission Pack Information
A Mission Pack will be released three months after the Shogo's release date of October. It is being created by Instant Access, a UK company well known for its add-on games.
