Successful executive Bob Jones (Keaton) and his wife Gail (Kidman) attempt to cope with his terminal illness by videotaping his life for his child, which is still in utero. With the help of a Chinese healer, (Haing S. Ngor), Bob learns the value of forgiveness as he reconciles with the family he has tried to forget and finds peace in his final days.
